Introduction to Web Technology

Catalog description

This course will introduce the Hyper Text Markup Lnaguage used to develop a website. This cousre also buikds upon basic skills in web authoring. Various web authoring tools are introduced. Upon completion, students will be able to use these tools to develop basic web sites. Topics include advanced CSS, an introduction to other methods of scritping (such as Java Screipt), the use of forms, and how to embed media( audio, video). In additionm students will learn what it takes to "go live" ith a site: domians, hosts and File Transfer Protocol will all be discussed. Pre req: CS 150 or permission of instructor. 3 credit hours
