This course introduces the structure of healthcare systems along with the ethical and legal principles guiding healthcare delivery. Topics include care organization, financing, regulation, and ethical responsibilities of providers. Upon completion, students will be able to describe key components of the U.S. healthcare system and apply basic ethical frameworks to healthcare situations.
