Prerequisite: CWP 102. Introduction to two types of mathematical models for assessing the correctness of reasoning. Venn diagrams discussed as geometric mathematical models for assessing categorical syllogisms. Sentential logic and monadic predicate logic discussed as systems of algebraic mathematical models for assessing the reasoning associated with these systems. Offered alternate years.
