History of public and nonprofit management systems; public and nonprofit organizational structures; distinctions and similarities in mission, values, and cultures. Effective management and leadership in public and nonprofit organizations; the political environment, power, and policy affecting public and nonprofit management; organizational goals and effectiveness; planning, strategy and decision making in the public and nonprofit sectors.
