The relevance of the philosophies of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Zen tradition, Taoism, and Confucianism to the development of Asian art. Brief histories of civilizations as frameworks for understanding aesthetic and philosophical Asian concepts. Offered alternate years.
