Catalog description

A studio course designed to introduce the novice student to the cultural and aesthetic values of dance. Physical practice of a variety of dance techniques: body as the instrument for dance, kinesthetic awareness, a codified terminology, and the influential aesthetic elements that define various dance techniques. Dance performance attendance is required. Offered annually.
