Prequisites: CHE 202 and CHE 204. Overview of plants as sources of chemical compounds; Classes of natural products from plant sources, their biosynthesis, and their uses in medicine, flavorings, cosmetics, and recreation; Extraction, purification, and analysis of phytochemical compounds from the different parts of plants; Overview of the cannabis and hemp industry and applicable regulations.
