Prerequisites: BIO 211, BIO 213, CHE 111/113, CHE112/114 and CHE 201. An in-depth study of the structure and function of eukaryotic genes at the molecular level. Topics include the cellular machinery of gene expression, processes that regulate gene expression, the structure and evolution of the genome, and genes that regulate development. Offered occasionally.
