Prerequisite: AAS 100, or instructor permission. Prepares students to engage with conceptual frameworks within the discipline of Africana Studies. Focuses on works from thinkers from Africa and the African Diaspora, to understand the varied ways African people globally have made sense of and tried to change the world, before and since the holocaust of enslavement. Offered every fall semester.
