Catalog description

This course is designed to assist entering first-year students who are exploring majors to acquire the necessary skills, information and resources to make informed and timely academic decisions. Through in-class activities, guest speakers and self-reflective homework assignments, students will learn about their various academic and career options. After successfully completing UE 101, students will: Know the resources on campus to help make an informed decision when choosing a major. Increase self-awareness regarding interests, values and academic strengths. Increase knowledge of academic and career options of interest. Understand career decision-making as a process informed by direct experiences and chance events.
