Catalog description

Modern data are increasingly complex, dynamic, and multidimensional. Statistical graphics, and more generally, statistical visualizations, are a powerful way to represent and interpret that data. They can provide more information than statistical tests and are often more convincing. Graphs are often the quickest path to convince a skeptical audience and produce action. This hands-on course teaches the strategies, methods, and principles that will allow you to realize and communicate the full utility of data visualizations and graphics. An emphasis will be placed on “storytelling” with data in a way that engages stakeholders and effectively delivers complex statistical and analytical results in a powerful accessible manner.
