Catalog description

Cancer is one of the leading causes of disease and death in the United States and globally. Cancer has touched so many of us, either with ourselves or our loved ones. This course will help students think about, understand, and take actions that can help address public health across the cancer continuum from cancer prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, through survivorship. Applying the public health approach to different stages of the cancer continuum, students will explore factors that result in population level cancer associated morbidity, mortality, and health inequities, as well as possible interventions to improve population health outcomes.
