Catalog description

Public health professionals rely on clear, engaging communication strategies to reach diverse audiences with different objectives underlying our communication. This course outlines fundamentals of public health writing and communication processes. Given the interdisciplinary nature of the field of public health, students will gain skills in the principles and practice of effective public health communication, learn about different types of public health writing and communication for various purposes and audiences, and develop targeted, relevant, and accessible communication products.
