Ethics Bowl

Catalog description

The goal of this course is to provide you with a new level of competence at reasoning your way through moral/ethical problems. In order to accomplish that goal, we are going to aim at being successful at an activity called the Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl. While UB does not yet have an Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl team, the expectation is that this course will create interest for and eventually serve as part of the training for students who will participate in UB’s Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl team. Ethics Bowl is like debate, but instead of winning an argument, the goal is to engage as well as possible in collaborative thinking about real world ethical issues.
