Building Competence for Community Engagement Across Populations

Catalog description

This course will provide students an opportunity to integrate academic study with community engagement. Seminar participation and experiential learning will foster the development of cultural sensitivity, civic engagement, advocacy, collaborative practice, ethical decision making and social responsibility. Experiential learning can occur across populations and can include urban, rural, and global settings. The global health international experience will be processed through the UB Study Abroad and will incur and additional cost.
