Catalog description
Students will explore the performance of varying forms of music in dramatic contexts such as: fully and partially staged opera productions (with and without orchestra); staged, dramatic interpretations of experimental and improvised music repertoire; student creation of site-specific performance pieces (open to performers of all disciplines). Projects will vary by semester. Most projects are geared to singers, but other disciplines will be welcome at various times. Please contact the instructor for information about each semester’s project and requirements for course admission.
