Catalog description

Clinical Chemistry focuses on analyzing body biochemicals for disease diagnosis and treatment monitoring. MT 407 lecture covers physiological theory of disease and principles of chemistry testing, while the laboratory builds skills in analytical methods, data interpretation, and computer-based analysis. Students gain foundational and advanced knowledge in biochemical analysis of body fluids to support diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of diseases. Core topics include clinical laboratory testing, metabolic pathways, organ function tests, toxicology, and application of results. Registration in MT 407 is limited to MT accepted majors only. There is a fee associated with this class.
