Catalog description

This course trains students to become future AI consultants and trusted advisors to organizations, big and small, seeking to harness and effectively integrate artificial‑intelligence technologies (generative AI and beyond) with business development techniques such as content creation, proposal generation, and value-based pricing to empower students to engage as a value added consulting partner. Students learn to bridge the gap between advanced technology and real-world business value. Students will learn to conduct comprehensive client needs assessments, design and propose tailored AI solutions, and guide businesses through responsible AI adoption. Students will learn how to partner with organizations to help identify business use cases, pain points, areas of growth and avenues for transformative technology innovation. Using current market research and industry frameworks to separate hype from reality, the course teaches participants to assess AI opportunities, design human‑AI symbioses, and craft workforce plans that account for reskilling needs and talent shortages. Students will learn to balance media and investor hype, using tools including the Gartner Hype Cycle framework to guide organizations through responsible technology investments, governed by enterprise risk appetite and management for new technology adoptions.
