This advanced course provides an in-depth exploration of valuation and financial modeling techniques using Microsoft Excel. The course integrates theoretical foundations with practical applications relevant to investment banking, equity research, and corporate finance.  Students will learn to construct fully integrated financial models that connect the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement, incorporating both historical and projected data. Core topics include discounted cash flow (DCF) valuation, trading and transaction comparables, and the analysis of key financial ratios. The course also introduces methods for evaluating investment projects. Emphasis is placed on developing proficiency in Excel for financial analysis, forecasting, and presentation. Through applied exercises and real-world case discussions, students will gain the ability to assess corporate performance, test assumptions, and analyze the effects of market events on firm valuation. By the end of the course, students will be able to build comprehensive financial models, interpret valuation outcomes, and apply analytical frameworks to support investment or strategic decisions. Due to the hands-on nature of the course, active participation and consistent attendance are strongly recommended.
