Catalog description

The purpose of this course is to expose students to research being conducted in the department of materials design and innovation. The course will consist of a program of supervised research to be agreed upon by the student and a faculty sponsor in the participating department. Students will develop critical thinking skills and exposure to the scientific method, apply knowledge of research findings to investigate new areas of research, review new studies, with respect to their validity, for new methods to advance medical research, and gain knowledge to conduct original laboratory research.
