Catalog description

Understanding Cyberlaw provides an in-depth examination of cybersecurity law as a rapidly evolving legal field governing digital risk, data protection, and cyber incidents across the public and private sectors privacy in the United States and internationally. The course explores the legal duties of organizations, professionals, and regulators in preventing, managing, and responding to cybersecurity threats. Designed for students without prior legal or technical background, the course offers lectures combined with active learning through class discussions (not cold call), simulations, and group presentations.
