Catalog description

Korean 401 is the first part of the two-semester Fourth-Year Korean course at the University of Buffalo. The goal is to develop proficiency beyond intermediate level in written and oral communication in both formal and informal settings. There are four main areas that you’ll be focusing on in the class including speaking, listening, writing, and reading. Advanced level grammar points will also be introduced and practiced to consolidate the knowledge of grammar. Through various reading, writing, and speaking activities, you will be able to express yourself more clearly and communicate more effectively, while deepening your understanding of Korean culture and society. Another major goal of this class is for you to develop critical thinking and cultivate creativity, expressing and communicating them in Korean.
