Catalog description

Indigenous peoples, whose lands hold the greatest proportion of biodiversity in the world, are often the most politically, socially, and economically marginalized populations and communities. They are leading innovative growing efforts to sustainably maintain their ancestral ways of life and homelands, while addressing climate change and the legacies of colonization that threaten them. This course focuses on the topics of Indigenous conservation, food sovereignty, and economics while looking in-depth at water and land management, planning, renewable energy development, green building, wellness/healing, and education.
