Catalog description

A general introduction to the discipline of Indigenous studies and to the social, political, economic and cultural dimensions of Indigenous life in North America. Examines some of the distinctive features of Indigenous knowledge systems and the history of Indigenous interactions with European settler societies. Provides the necessary foundations for students wishing to pursue more disciplinary-focused advanced courses in Indigenous studies.
