Catalog description

This course introduces students to the genetic counseling profession and process. Content areas cover both genetic principles and applicable counseling skills/theories. Learning activities include problem sets, class discussions, role plays, and observations of simulated patient encounters. This course is designed for health or biomedical sciences majors with an interest in medical genetics. Pre-requisite: BIO 319 or BCH 410 or with permission from the instructor
