Advanced French Conversation

Catalog description

Students will work toward increasing oral proficiency using the parameters of the ACTFL Proficiency guidelines. Testing throughout the semester will track gains in navigating conversational pitfalls, expressing opinions, defending a point of view, interviewing a subject, formulating hypotheses, as well as engaging in debate, public speaking and discussion. Students will master contexts for conversations and explore formal and informal registers. Students will do an oral proficiency final exam.
