Sustainability refers to the ability to maintain or support a process, system, or society without depleting natural resources or causing harm to the environment, society, or the economy. It’s about finding a balance between meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Sustainability Quest: Exploring the Intersections is an introductory course that aims to provide a foundation for students to understand the complexities of sustainability and its intersections across various fields while developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address sustainability challenges. This course aims at creating a better future for all by adopting practices, technologies, and policies that support long-term thinking, efficiency, and responsible management of resources. The course provides a holistic approach that considers the interconnections and interdependencies between human and natural systems.
