Catalog description

This course introduces various environmental design topics in rural and small-town contexts. We will explore current theory, emerging trends and best practices in rural planning, development and design. Students will become familiar with environmental considerations and design possibilities in areas such as infrastructure, clean energy, recreation, farmland protection, conservation of natural areas and economic development.
