Communicating STEM Through Multimedia

Catalog description

Students who work in STEM will spend much of their careers communicating their ideas/projects with those who do not share the same technical background. In this course, students will learn how to communicate engineering and computing concepts to the public. They will learn narrative and storytelling techniques in the form of podcasts and social media videos to reach a mass non-technical audience. This class is a workshop that provides safe and constructive opportunities to practice and strengthen these vital communication skills.
