Green Chemistry

Catalog description

This is a semester-long course designed to introduce the principles of green chemistry to reduce or eliminate the production of hazardous substances. Students will also be introduced to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The curriculum will cover how the principles of green chemistry can be developed to address global environmental and human health issues. Case Studies are used to provide relevant examples of green manufacturing processes and applications and to further reinforce chemical principles introduced in previous courses.
