Catalog description

Literacy in Artificial Intelligence requires the ability to recognize, understand, use and assess computational approaches that collectively comprise artificial intelligence. The goal of this course is to train biomedical scientists to bridge the gap, conceptually, between the biological and computer sciences. In this course we will teach biomedical students to conceptualize problems in healthcare and biomedical research through a computational and data-driven lens. We will teach students the importance of the ethical and informed use of AI and machine learning in biomedical sciences and healthcare through case-based learning.
