Catalog description

This course allows a student to gain credit for working with a faculty member on a topic not covered in other courses. This course is intended to provide credit for independent, faculty-led learning opportunities that do not require skills and knowledge beyond the third year BE curriculum. This course is intended for first and second year students, and third year students who have not yet completed three of their third year required courses. This course cannot be used to satisfy upper level technical elective requirements. Topics will vary by professor. This is a variable unit course, up to three (3) credits. The number of credits to be earned is designated by the number of credits for which the student registers. For each credit hour, a minimum of forty-five (45) hours of course-related work must be completed.
