Catalog description

A course built on projects addressing object making and site-specific project design outside of the gallery/museum context.  Students will develop a connective thematic throughout the course based on the individual interest of each student. The intention of this course is to bridge traditions within the language of sculpture and the natural world and to contextualize the history of object making and our changing associations with and understanding of the natural world.  We will examine and explore the history of Land Art from its beginnings through to contemporary processes and concerns. This course is dual-listed Land Art 545.
