Catalog description

This introductory course for non-art majors covers the fundamentals of digital photography. Students will learn to capture, edit, organize, and share images while exploring the cultural significance and history of photography. Class time combines hands-on practice with group discussions, encouraging students to rethink their approach to photography as an intentional, thoughtful process. The course also teaches practical skills using digital cameras, scanners, and editing tools like Adobe Camera Raw, Bridge, and Photoshop, with a focus on experimentation.
