This course offers students the opportunity to learn how design influences our understanding of every aspect of contemporary culture. Taking a critical and analytical approach through readings, exercises, field research, and examination of design in the world, this course investigates visual language as expressed in such diverse disciplines as engineering, science, medicine, law, finance, literature, politics, and media.
