Catalog description
The lecture portion of this course will consist of a comprehensive discussion ofanalog and digital radiographic image production including quality control,radiation safety, use and creation of technique charts and preparation for imagingprocedures. Entry-level mechanics of alternate imaging modalities will comprisethe balance of didactic instruction. Laboratory exercises will focus on the use ofradiographic equipment, patient positioning, analog and digital imagingprocessing, and assessment of imagining techniques and quality control. (offeredfall semester only) (2 hrs. lecture, 3 hrs. laboratory) Prerequisites: CHE120,VST111 and VST116 with a minimum grade of C. Corequisite: VST201. Offeredon: G
