Catalog description
This course will explore the diagnosis and repair of advanced level vehicleelectrical and electronic system related concerns. Major topics include Electricaland electronic theory and diagnostic tools and resources. This course willprepare the student for the ASE "A6" technician certification test. Hands-on tasksrequired by Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) in the area of Electricity andelectronics will be covered in detail. This course is designed to prepare thestudent for final hands-on skills validation and is heavily lab based. Students areexpected to register for and attempt the ASE A6 Electricity and Electronicsexamination at the end of TYT162. (offered fall semester only) (.5 hr. lecture, 7.5hrs. laboratory) Corequisite: TYT110 and TYT161.
