Acute Care Physical Therapy

Catalog description

This course prepares the student for the clinical experience of working in anacute care setting. Covers medical terminology, specific pathologies of the bodysystems across the lifespan, basic concepts of pharmacology, commonlaboratory, medical and diagnostic tests, and types of medical-surgical equipmentutilized in the acute care setting. (offered spring semester only) Prerequisites: C+or higher in BIO130.
