Covers development of technical skill in delivery of physical therapy interventionsincluding use of standard precautions, bed mobility, transfer training, gait trainingwith assistive devices, and monitoring vital signs. Content addresses jointmovements, bony prominences and joints of the extremities, adaptive andassistive devices, principles of body mechanics, and develops appreciation ofarchitectural barriers and their impact on disability. (offered fall semester only)(0.5 hr. lecture, 3 hrs. laboratory) No prerequisite.
