Second or third course in a three-semester sequence of calculus-based physicsoffered to majors in STEM. It focuses on electricity and magnetism including thelaws of Coulomb, Gauss, Ampere, Biot-Savart, Faraday, Lenz, DC and ACcircuits, and Maxwell's equations. (4 hrs. lecture/recitation) Note: Fulfills SUNY-GE Natural Sciences. Prerequisites: MAT142, PHY130, PHY132. Corequisite:PHY232.
