Catalog description

Second of a two-semester sequence of fast-paced introduction to physics withapplications to biology, primarily for students majoring in biological sciences orpre-clinical programs. It focuses on electric circuit theory, electromagnetism,wave motion, optics, and radiation phenomena. Strong algebra skills andknowledge of the ideas of calculus are required. PHY122 may not be taken forcredit in place of PHY119, PHY220 or PHY230. Note: Fulfills SUNY-GE NaturalSciences. (3 hrs. lecture, 2 hrs. laboratory, 1 hr. recitation) Prerequisite: PHY121,MAT141.
