Catalog description
Develops methods of inquiry and analysis as core of a strategy of criticalthinking. Students examine hypotheses according to evidence, role of necessaryand sufficient conditions, concept of cause and effect, and treatment ofalternative hypotheses. Includes use of these structures to formulate, evaluate,criticize and improve argument, judgment and interpretation. Note: Fulfills SUNY-GE Humanities. No prerequisite.
