Open to student and community instrumentalists who wish to performmasterworks from the orchestral repertoire from Baroque through 20th Century.Emphasis on developing technical and musical skills in ensemble and soloplaying. Dress rehearsals and performances are part of the class and attendanceis mandatory. Notes: (1) Since some musical works require specificinstrumentation, certain instruments may not be needed in a particular term. (2)May be taken for credit for more than two semesters. (3) Fulfills SUNY-GE TheArts. (3 hrs. laboratory) Prerequisite: Informal individual audition for seatingpurposes only. May be taken without credit (audit basis) with permission of theChair/Academic Dean.
