Catalog description

The impact of global climate change is far-reaching, both for humanity and theenvironment. This course will provide students with the scientific background tounderstand the role of natural and human-forced climate change so that they arebetter prepared to become involved in the discussion. Students will learn howpast climates are determined and why humans are causing most of the observedmodern day warming. The technical and political solutions to climate change willalso be discussed. Note: Fulfills SUNY-GE Natural Sciences. Prerequisite:MAT007 or equivalent.
