Review of arithmetic skills and introduction to the basic concepts of algebra.Topics include arithmetic skills, geometry, language of algebra, order ofoperations, signed numbers, linear equations, two equations in two unknowns,polynomials, solving quadratic equations by factoring, and selected verbalproblems. Graded on an SA-SB-SC-R-U-W basis. Does not fulfill requirementsfor any degree or certificate. Serves as a prerequisite for any course for whichMAT007 is a prerequisite. Prerequisite: Placement.
