Legal Writing

Catalog description

This course focuses on the importance of legal communication; specifically theuse of effective legal writing when communicating with clients, adversaries, andthe courts. Specific writing assignments will include both interoffice and externalwritten communications. Students will be required to prepare various legaldocuments including pleadings, motions, memoranda and legal briefs. (offeredfall semester only) Prerequisite/corequisite: LAW101 or permission of theChair/Academic Dean.
