Introduces an understanding of law through its forms, classifications andsources. Impact of law as influenced by political, social and economic needs;legal rights and their enforcement; federal and state court systems; and functionsof administrative agencies. A study of the lawsuit, jurisdiction, pleadings,preparation of forms and role of the paralegal. (offered fall semester only) Noprerequisite.
