Kitchen and Bath Design

Catalog description

This course provides an in-depth introduction to residential kitchen and bathdesign, with the goal of developing expertise for planning and creating functional,efficient, and aesthetically pleasing kitchens and baths. From design concept toconstruction, emphasis is placed on floor plans, elevations, perspectives,specifications of materials and finishes, appliance selection, and cabinet design.Studio projects will analyze and apply National Kitchen and Bath standards.(offered spring semester only) (2 hrs. lecture, 2 hrs. studio) Prerequisite: INT103or permission of the Chair/Academic Dean.
