Catalog description
Introduction to aesthetic, cultural and functional considerations that shape theinterior environment. Principles of design, space planning, color, textile, selectionof furniture are explored as they relate to interior space. Studio sessions focus onresidential spaces that introduce mechanical drawings skills, scaled floor plansand elevations. Presentations will emphasize the importance of verbal andgraphic skills to communicate the design solution. Note: Fulfills SUNY-GE TheArts. (offered fall semester only) (1 hr. lecture, 4 hrs. studio) No prerequisite.
