The course will provide an overview of the complex US health plans includingcommercial, government sponsored, managed care, prospective paymentsystems, and other reimbursement methodologies in various healthcare settings.Current issues affecting reimbursement such as revenue cycle management,chargemaster maintenance, case-mix management, regulatory compliance,coding compliance, and the role of value-based purchasing and quality reportingwill also be explored.
